Sattu Cheela

Serving Size: 4 - 5 servings

Ingredients:

  • 6 tablespoons Fitlicious classic sattu
  • 4 tablespoons besan
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 - 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons curd
  • Water or buttermilk, as needed to make a batter
  • Oil, for cooking

Steps:

  1. In a deep mixing bowl, combine sattu, besan, turmeric powder, salt, pepper, chopped onion, chopped garlic cloves, lemon juice, and curd.
  2. Add water or buttermilk and gradually stir until you achieve a smooth, pourable batter.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  4. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly to form a thin, round cheela.
  5. Drizzle a little oil over the cheela.
  6. Cook until the bottom side is golden brown and set. Flip and cook the other side until golden brown as well.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy with green chutney or ketchup.

Note: Fitlicious classic sattu already has salt and lemon.
